Still on tap but facing Comcast problems

MAXO PHOOTENOTES

Finally I just had to get out of the house. Being away from the station was good for some unwinding but my how crap goes to heck when one is away. Not discounting or diminishing my competent staff of three, but remember we do this as a second volunteer task, not our everyday income. Which brings me to a few things.

After re-evaluating everything, the conclusion of my own company’s managers is to just buy cell phones and go that way. Considering we were about to rake out $500.00 on Monday to Comcast for Cooter’s A1 Toewing, discovered that via cell phone would cost me half of what Comcast want. Built 4 Business? Really? You shut off a towing service on a Thursday, just as I was confirming a tow run that could have paid the bill? Right in the middle of a tow call, are you that hungry Comcast? Considering the fact that we never got the last 4 digits of our phone number being 9653(W-O-L-F) being that May and June was to be free due to equipment failure on Comcast’s end at $50.00(our tow call charge) multiplied by 30 days that’s near $70k we lost right there. Oh the little Indian guy on the other end says if you unplug you’ll suffer early termination fees. Fine we’ll keep it, but it wasn’t until I got an off duty Comcast tech to come in , do some techno stuff that it worked. The entire bill is something like $405.00 which I had plans on paying on Monday, now, thinking of going to see an attorney. Oh I’ll give em their modem, but trying to nail me for $2k are they nuts?

As far as HazzardAyre and the club keeping Comcast that’s up to the club, I only carry out my assignments . I don’t fault Laura or any of that , but quite frankly if Comcast is fighting for retention of customers when Comcast is rated number 1 in customer dissatisfaction , you’d think they would have the brains to not piss off the Wolf.

Then I roll into the office, this system was having a diaper rash, but a quick reboot and all going okay. Bottom line Next week driving down to Sandy Utah and making my feelings known.

As far as the new roomy, Talked with Greg the other day just before I got unplugged from Comcast phone, all is good there, just wished he’dve sent the $250.00 in the mail or something, last week, then I could’ve headed off some of these turn-off’s.

Maybe our gal in Colorado Springs at Comcast, can get Comcast to re-ignite my tow phone, for Cooter’s A1 Toewing, this week.

See all on air at midnight.

A day in the life of the old AyreWolf(me) and this creature we call Maximum Overdrive

MAXO MAIN2THE WOLF'S BLOG

The day in the life of ye old AyreWolf, usually begins at 09:00 Hours. I awake mid morning because I’m up all night on Maximum Overdrive or HazzardAyre Radio. It’s a quick shower , a Hostess fruit pie and BIG glass of milk then its grind away at duties for either Cooter’s A1 Toewing(mis-spelled on purpose) or Hazzard County Choppers. Then it’s meander down to the office/studio. Wasn’t that way last month, most of the day it all began and ended at the Wolf’s Den, in Ogden. Trouble is, outside of a roomy or club member nobody to help with anything, nobody especially female wants to get nibbled on by any big bad wolf so Robin Hood don’t go there so we moved things into a more professional setting, that this month of August took a bunch of bread to do, between office rent, Comcast for the studio/office, fuel, took near if not completely everything I had. Kinda was hoping my new roomy would’ve sent $250.00 but hey, it’s cool. Next month with a full load of rent money, from the roomy and all shouldn’t be such a tight squeeze on the wallet.

Once I get to the office its pre production for that nights show and deciding which one will be ran. Not enough in studio people for complete 4 , 6 hour shifts yet.

Then it’s on the air. Gotta get a TV for those long speeches we get from the network.

Then at 01:00 its in the truck, get to Ogden, catch some sack time, then do it all again. Sunday’s are hardest since have church duties until noon, catch lunch, go to the studio/office , and do it all again.

Maybe now that we are in a slightly fancier place we can attract some on air people.

Only real problem except for the cost of fuel to drive 60 miles round trip a day, is I can’t get comfortable while I do my show. No more stripping down to my BVD’s and gym shorts.

Will see all on the 1st or so unless my new roomy sends down more money ahead of time, plus going to Wyoming for two weeks to put up a new tower and pull cable.

If anyone needs to get in touch call my Cooter’s A1 line 801-689-3044 .

Finally transplanted but new phone number

maxo logo 1hooker phootenotes1

We got everything moved to Woods Cross, but the battle on the home front continues. Stress level is high but going down.

The peanut heads at Comcast couldn’t keep our original but that’s alright, maybe now we wont get calls for Goss photo restoration.

FYI; the new phone number is: 385-777-5983 .

Now gotta get honeys for money for the web site and the final approach of forming that together.

The fact that a few people never believed and had to thumb their bigoted and yes racist big bird salute to me and the club, the success level albeit still crawling out paces everything I and the club did in Mountain Home or the immediate area.

We’re on our way.

To Greg my new roomy and looking forward to his living at the Wolf’s Den RoadHouse the two important phone numbers are 801-689-3044 The Wolf’s Den(Cooter’s A1 Toewing) or 385-777-5983 .

Now for the data miners. I don’t give a rats dung if you call me to sell something, although I only buy from and deal with firms that support and I mean financially support the club, but if your going to call me, for goodness sake, stay on the phone, speak, OR QUIT CALLING ME!!!!!! These people who interrupt me from my work and then never says anything when they call, piss me off no end.

Bottom end, Speak up or shut up.

Going to be in Wyoming putting up a new transmission tower and pulling wire for the next 3 weeks, so you’ll have to tune into us via pre-recorded show at www.livestream.com/maximumoverdriveradio

Until the 29th,

Robin Williams gone from Earth, but not gone from heart.

RODEWOLF'S HOWL

I’m still trying to process this.

Of many comedians, actors and numerous celebrities that I have known one stands out as inspiration. And that’s not just poppycockin bullshoit.

Robin Williams who played legendary radio person Adrian Cronour of AFRN Vietnam, brought me back into radio. It was the way the Robin, brought that character to life. But from the time that I saw Robin doing a cameo on Happy Days that led to Mork and Mindy. The music where he sang a spoof on Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood theme, Robin could take the innocent and make it funny. More over to where YOU remembered it. Last month it was Cassey Kassum, this month it is Robin, both I’m sure would not want us to mourn or be sad over their passing, but to take the inspiration they gave and do something with it. For me I plan on doing just that, but understand , Robin will still be missed, I know , I’ll miss him, to Robin I say this; Nannoo/Nannoo , shazzbot.

It’s only junk if its someone else’s

max o logo mainTOEW BRO IN THE MORNING

Its only junk if its someone else’s, if its yours its gold or darn near to it. It’s also like the toew thing I dig, it only smells pee-ewe if its somebody else’s old lady. If it’s the one your with her tootsies smell like lilacs. Or at least serious purrfume. The other night the bunch of were sitting in the garage talking and drinking. Lassie all in her tight duds and boots, I though hot, until she pulled off her boots, whew, them there foots pew. If it had been the gal I would have been a courtin shute I’d have had those dainty nibblets in my mouth a sucking on em like a bull calf at dawn on the hind teat of an old dairy cow. On that subject , its not some big gig or thrill of mine to dine on toes, nyloned or not. And whew those ones with hammer toes and bunions, that are full of puss, yuck. It’s an old thing that dates just slightly before but was amplified with and because of sweet Daisy Duke and her hosed limbs.>sweet Daisy In just about if not all video of our treasured Duke clan, Daisy always wore nylons>imagesCA06D3XQalthough few can tell if or if not some gal is wearing nylons. Even if covered by say Wrangler Jeans. Wranglers had a tell tale sign. If a gal wore nylons under their Wrangler jeans, there would be a slight gray streak up the middle of the back of her jeans, ah thank you Wrangler Jeans Company.

But if its your old lady she smells good, someone else’s whew it be pew.

It’s due to a sense of Community

MAXO MAIN2cooters phootenotes

Its been asked of me if it’s so bad why not fold and move? Answer, This is a great place to live. Just when I start to thinking how bad stuff is, Dave next door comes over with a brew or V-8 Juice, the neighbors across the street invite me over for a pizza and a brew or vodka and seltzer water. Then there are the cats in the neighborhood. From two that come over and wander in, the innumerous kittens fussing all over, and its quiet.

Oh sure there is the slight musky smell of the previous tenants allowing some bad carpet in back to mold, but its not bad. This is why I’m trying to save it. Not just to keep me from sleeping in the office until I find something in or near Bountiful, Which both places I looked at are still available and if my new applicant roomy decides to bail I’ll go there but it’ll break my heart.

It might sound like I’m overselling this place , but I’m not. I have resided in many places from Boise to Pocatello from Idaho Falls to Salt Lake City and even Wyoming, this is the only one I have ever lived in.

So to Greg and all the others its time to bust a move here.

An Allday Sunday with Austin and Alley

max o logo maincooters journal cover

You know it’s a bad TV day when the race at Watkins Glenn bores you, when you miss church due to an early morning hangover, and the only things on TV worth watching is the Disney Channel and Austin and Alley.

Questions arise here. First where are all those energetic, ambitious teens and tweens, that love to chase the spotlight? I could use a few of them. And where are the parents on these shows? Sure Liv and Maddie have the parental gig going, but outside of occasionally seeing Alley’s father in the music store you never see the other parents. Even so I could use a few of these ambitious people on my staff.

Trying to figure out how to sleep in the office, and all. It’s not that the place here in Ogden is kaput, its that if I don’t get my current landlord at least $200.00 and get some other items out of the way, my only roof over thyne head is the office. I waited all day yesterday for a brother of my new roomy, to show with some money, that would make the landlord relax, and why am I late with rent? Power bill; $100.00  , natural gas: 128.00 ,

$250.00 to Comcast, and of course rent on office, which I have a grand total of $8.00 left.

But, if I get the $300.00 from my new roomy, I can get the Church again with reservation , to cover the rest. It’s a thing of dependability and tenacity, and why do I do it?

Because , there are small business people, who depend on the noise we make on HazzardAyre as well as Maximum Overdrive Radio, to get the word out for their business’ , trouble is just like everything else the radio gig, is done all volunteer, I don’t make one thin dime from it, not one bleeding penny. It’d be nice if I did, but from the first wire that was connected to a $80.00 control board in 1976, to the mass control console of today, its all been the main mission to keep the Voice , not just the read, but the Voice of American Trucker talking, it’s the main focus to keep the words of the American towing professional being spoken, and the history and heritage of our beloved Dixie, being told. Everything else is fodder, and why? Because no body else does it. Just last night At a get together one gal, in the mix, had no idea of the historic military leaders of the war of great oppression or northern invasion. Yet one teen kid as a Sophomore in high school, had the right idea.

But I don’t get paid for this. In fact if I totaled up the hours , and expenses from the years of service to the club, lets just say I wouldn’t need SSI and VA money to survive.

Now if I can just get my new Roomy to fetch over the money and get on with living.

Keep it tween the ditches.
